I have been reading all the thoughts and ideas of various hard working state employees whom are standing on the front lines taking care of many situations for our citizens that many of them either don't know or refuse to aknowledge even exist. I find it alarming, the judges and elected official have boards that keep up with their salaries and make sure the judges and elected official salaries/compensation package is comparable to the private sector. This group of individuals is getting a 5% increase when many of them already have six figure incomes. It appears to me, that we state employees might as well bend over, grease up, and get ready for next year. I have been an active OPEA member for nineteen years and OPEA does a wonderful and sometimes thankless job for us. We have got to get more state employees in the battle if we are going to accomplish our objectives. We can start right now by getting our friends and family out to vote these "crooks" out. We have enough people standing on the sidelines, we need people to get in the game!
