UPDATE: Holiday Bill Moves to the Governor's Desk

Legislation that would ensure state employees have two days to spend during Christmas with their families, has passed both the House and the Senate with no opposition.  HB 3052 (Kirby, Lamb) will now go to the Governor’s desk.

Currently, state employees only have two days off for Christmas when the holiday falls on certain days of the week.

This is a great gift to the employees by which they are getting more time to be with the family and enjoy Christmas.
