OPEA Express Winners Recruit New Members, Receive Top Prizes

This summer OPEA member across the state vied for first place in the OPEA Express.  That campaign ended successfully at the annual convention and delegate assembly August 29th, at the Lake Murray resort.

Members who recruited the most new state employees to join the Association were in the running for some fabulous prizes, including a Dell laptop computer, provided by Purchasing Power, an Ipod, and a year of Pre-Paid Legal Services.

While the “OPEA Express” campaign has ended, members are encouraged to continue their efforts in recruiting new blood into the Association.  The prize now is a stronger voice and a more unified OPEA which will ultimately result in better working conditions, better pay and benefits, and a more stable work situation.
