Region Six Holds Platform Meeting

OPEA members in the area of Region 6 gathered in Norman at the Oklahoma Electrical Cooperative community meeting room to make suggestions for platform ideas the evening of Thursday, June 3. Regional Director Dixie Jackson led the meeting and said she was excited to see employees come out to express their thoughts and ideas.

Several ideas were presented and good discussion held on each one of them. All of the planks presented were accepted, with the exception of one.

“I think it is good that we were able to discuss the issues and vote on what we felt the Association should be working on next year,” said Lydia Hilton who was elected Platform Chair.

“With this being the first year to return to the regional grassroots format for platform development, we have had a good attendance and discussion at the meetings we have held so far,” said OPEA Membership Representative Jimmy Durant.

Thank you for taking the time to invest in your future by attending the regional meeting and providing ideas of how Your Association can serve our
members with better services. I look forward to seeing each of you at our 35th annual meeting
