SHOW UP STRONG Next Week for Lobby Day 2010

One week from now OPEA members will converge on the state Capitol for the annual Lobby Day.  You are urged to “Show up Strong” on Tuesday, March 9th. Registration begins at 9 a.m. 

A rally will be held on the Capitol’s south steps beginning at 11:15 a.m 

Oklahoma is in the midst of a historic budget shortfall and all our jobs are on the line.  There has never been a Lobby Day more important than this one.  All OPEA members must make plans to rally their legislators and show them that state employees are people too…we have families and we need our jobs.

OPEA has been on your side for 35 years, and this is a CALL to ACTION:  SHOW UP STRONG for OPEA’s Lobby Day March 9th.

#1 On the East side of the Capitol south of 23rd between Phillips & Lincoln is a very large parking area and there is a tunnel that will take you straight to the Capitol.

#2 To the West of the Capitol is the Jim Thorpe Building between 18th & 21st is another large parking lot.

#3 Just South of the Capitol between 19th and 21st on Lincoln is a large parking lot.

I have verified that all of these areas are public parking with the Capitol Patrol.
