State Representative Randy Terrill, Chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Public Safety and Judiciary, is the newest member of OPEA.

Terrill joined the Association Wednesday following a DOC legislative tour of the Mabel Bassett Correctional Center.

“OPEA is an invaluable resource to me as I deliberate issues of corrections and public safety,” Terrill said in a letter addressed to OPEA Executive Director Sterling Zearley.

“I know a little bit about state employment, having worked for the Department of Labor and the Department of Mental Health before my election to the House of Representatives.  Therefore, I want to assure state employees that OPEA is the finest, most professional organization working with us at the Capitol; no other organization even comes close!”

Check out Representative Terrill joining OPEA. I really appreciate him joining with us. It shows he really does support state employees. I wish my Representative Shane Jett would join but he wouldn't vote for state employees ever

I'm happy to see that Rep. Terrill is taking this step. Perhaps other legislators will follow his example. The motto of our state is Oklahoma is OK, however if we could bring our state employees up to par... I'd support a change to.. Oklahoma is Awesome!
