I have worked for the state for 29 years.
I have only seen raises in state employee wages in a election year, then thats all till the following election. We need a good raise,my husband and I live paycheck to paycheck and with both of us working and the prices of gas, groceries, taxes, health care we bearly can make ends meet. We need really need this raise this year and every year like the teachers get.

I agree. We work 12 months, not 9 months for our pay, which is something many do not think about when they hear the annual income of a teacher.
