Big changes are coming to OPEA’s website with a revised design that will be easier for the viewer to use and will also be easier for staff to update with the latest news. One big change will be that most of the website’s inside content will be available to OPEA members only. This will allow us update members with the most-current legislative and state employee news available. We plan to rollout the new website design in early January. The address www.opea.org will not change.
Like many membership websites, OPEA members will need to sign in to read most of the content inside the website. Your email address that OPEA has on record for you will be your log-in ID. Like many membership websites, the front page will be available by all. However, only members who have logged-in will be able to read most of the inside content. Non-members who “click” on a story will be directed to more information about joining OPEA. The parts of the website explaining OPEA’s mission and the advantages of joining will still be available to anyone.
Since we will be using members’ email addresses for log-in purposes, it is important that OPEA has members’ accurate email on file. Your email addresses will only be used by OPEA and not given out to others. It is also important that OPEA has your current email address because we sometimes email a “call to action” to members about important legislative votes.
