As a valued member of OPEA, you have an opportunity to help decide the future of your Association.
Recently you should have received a ballot in the mail urging you to vote on an amendment to the bylaws which would move OPEA from agency-based to geographical representation.
The OPEA Board, Councils and Delegates voted unanimously at the annual convention to amend the bylaws, and believe this change will allow for more member involvement on a local level and return OPEA to a position of strength. As a result, you are encouraged to vote “Yes” to adopt the recommended amendments. If approved, the changes will go into effect January 1, 2010.
While you may vote by mail, all members should be aware that you may also vote by phone or via email, a move that could save the Association up to $4,000 in postage.
Please remember to make your voice heard and cast your vote today!
If you do not receive a ballot or have lost yours, please contact VR Election Services at 1.800.218.4026 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org Hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am until 5 pm.
