House leadership has told representatives of the OPEA, OREA, OEA and OSFA that House Bill 2985, which would provide a 4% COLA for retirees in all six Oklahoma retirement systems, will not get a hearing on the House floor. This is after the bill passed out of the Banking & Business Committee by an overwhelming vote of 18-1. We urge all retirees and active state employees to call House Speaker Charles McCall at 405-557-7412 and demand the bill get a hearing on the House floor. The deadline for the bill to be heard is March 15th.
