Annual Leave “Purchase” Bill Passes Senate

The Senate passed SB1505 today. This bill by Sen. David Holt and Rep. Leslie Osborn allows state agencies to pay employees for a certain amount of accrued annual leave every year. It is optional for state agencies to do this. The bill now goes to the House of Representatives for consideration.

This bill was passed by the senate with the title stricken so that means it could be amended before final approval. OPEA is supportive of this measure
