Pat Hall and Julia “DD” Marchesoni
Julia “DD” Marchesoni, an employee of DHS in child welfare, was selected as the Pat Hall OPEA Volunteer of the Year. She is a member of the Kay & Noble County OPEA Chapter. Even though she is a temporary state employee she is extremely active in OPEA’s Region III. She communicates the importance of being active in OPEA especially to temporary employees. She helps schedule and encourage members to attend meetings in her region and has recruited dozens of new OPEA members. She participates in statewide OPEA activities including the annual convention and advocacy events at the capitol.
She is also very engaged in her hometown community and is a foster parent and adoptive parent. DD is also very active in advocating on behalf of foster and adoptive families. DD was presented the award by Pat Hall, the association’s first executive director.
