Dean Crawford Selected as Gaines Stout Member of the Year

Dean Crawford was awarded the Gaines Stout Member of the Year award presented to an OPEA member who has exhibited leadership in promoting the association’s goals and objectives. Crawford is the current vice president of the Disability Determination Unit Chapter, one of OPEA’s most active chapters.

Among his activities, Dean helped coordinate their chapter’s legislative reception and has served on OPEA’s bylaws committee. He has attended association board meetings as a proxy member and has also been active in recruitment of new members to their chapter.In addition, he helped coordinate the chapter’s assistance with their office’s March of Dimes committee to raise $2500 through fundraising events and participated in the  Walk for Babies.

Dean’s leadership and dedication for service stretches far beyond his chapter’s activities. He attends OPEA regional and statewide activities as well. He was presented the award at OPEA’s 2013 annual convention.
