Long-suffering OSP employees, working in housing units without air-conditioning, were provided a bit of relief by OPEA recently with cold water and gatorade. OPEA continues to have dialogue with DOC officials and the Department of Labor, as well as legislators, over the issue, but staff and inmates at OSP still suffer in unacceptable and dangerously high temperatures.
