OPEA Seeks Bylaw Change Proposals From Members

OPEA’s bylaws are eligible to be reviewed and revised every three years and 2019 is an OPEA bylaws review year. Any member proposing a change to the association’s bylaws must submit their changes in writing via email to Jann Ensz by May 24th, 2019. The bylaws committee will review the proposals and then they will be published for review by all members. Proposed changes will be presented by the member who submitted the proposal and will be voted on by OPEA members at the 2019 Annual Convention and Delegate Assembly, August 23rd and 24th at Sequoyah State Park. The Association’s bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds affirmative vote of the eligible members voting at this year’s delegate assembly. If there is a question concerning the interpretation, legality or application of the member’s suggested changes, those changes shall be submitted to the Association’s retained law firm for an opinion. To be eligible to vote on proposed changes at the delegate assembly, the voter must have been a dues-paying member prior to June 1, 2019.
