A bill providing a 4% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for all retired Oklahoma state employees passed out of the House Banking & Business Committee on Tuesday, Feb 27th. The bill passed 18-1. House Bill 2985, by Representative Avery Frix (R-Muskogee), provides a COLA for retirees in each of the State’s five retirement systems. OPEA has joined with teachers (OEA), retired teachers (OREA) and firefighters (OSFA) to advance the bill. Thank you to Representative Frix and Committee members for your tremendous support!
