State Employee Lobby Day – March 29th

March 29th will be OPEA’s lobby day for state employees. This date is closer to the time that legislators will begin the appropriation process and it is vital that they hear from state employees. We must tell them not to cut state employee benefits as a way to balance the budget. They need to know that if state agencies must cut they can’t do it by only cutting staff. Contracts and rates must be included in any cost cutting measures. We must protect services.
