Total Remuneration Study Released Today by OMES

The long-awaited total compensation study was released today by the Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES). The 130 page report describes the details of an in-depth look at Oklahoma’s state employee salaries and benefits and recommendations to state leaders on how to bring Oklahoma’s compensation to a level that is more competitive with other employers. A press briefing is scheduled by OMES later today.

The report contains recommendations on how Oklahoma can improve its compensation and that state employees’ salaries are generally 20 percent lower than what is paid by other employers.

OPEA will analyse the report and have further information on it later next week. This upcoming legislative session will likely be the most important for state employees in several years. It is time for all state employees and retirees to become informed and engaged.
