Come hear from your state representative about issues important to state employees and retirees. OPEA is conducting a series of legislative meetings for state employees and retirees to meet with selected lawmakers about issues important to them. Everyone is invited to attend.
The first meeting will be Thursday February 11th at 5:30 p.m. at Veterans Corner, Inc. 3805 SE 44th St., Newcastle, Okla.-This location is two miles west if I35 on Hwy 9. (Exit 106 on I35 and go two miles west on Hwy 9 It is on the north side of Hwy 9).
Legislators confirmed to attend are Rep. Jon Echols, Rep. Leslie Osborn, Rep. Bobby Cleveland, Rep. Mark McBride and Rep. Scott Martin. Topics to be discussed include:
- State employee compensation
- Retired state employee pensions and cost of living adjustments (COLAs)
