OPEA Lobby Day – Telling State Employees’ and Retirees’ Stories

OPEA members took time from their jobs and families to come to the capitol to tell their stories about how low pay and lack of pension increases impact their lives and how funding problems hamper them in delivering services to Oklahomans. The time was well spent in educating lawmakers on state employee and retiree issues. OPEA was loud and clear in its message that the legislature must find a way to raise the revenue necessary to prevent service cuts and to fund a state employee pay raise. Thank you to the members who came to the capitol  – Great job.
