OPEA Strikes Hearing Set in OCP Litigation

Attorneys for the Oklahoma Public Employees Association have decided to strike a hearing set for later this week that sought a temporary injunction against the Oklahoma Corrections Professionals.

“The defendants have filed affidavits denying ownership and/or control of the ‘Thunders Domain 2’ blog,” said OPEA attorney Kevin Donelson. “For months now many of OPEA’s web articles have appeared on the Thunders Domain blog. Although OCP denies involvement in Thunders Domain, all copyrighted materials belonging to OPEA have now been removed, just days prior to our court date. That is what we had hoped to accomplish through the injunction,” Donelson said.

Discovery will now proceed on other issues at hand, specifically the retrieval of private information belonging to OPEA and its members.
