The 2018 Pat Hall Volunteer of the Year award was presented to OPEA member Rita White, Rita is a DHS employee and was present at the capitol every day of this year’s state employee and teacher walkout. Rita was there every day despite having to use annual leave to attend and had to work extra hard to maintain her workload, she felt it was important enough to show up and be heard every day.
She was presented the award at the 2018 annual convention by former OPEA Director Pat Hall, for whom the honor is named. The convention’s award luncheon was sponsored by American Fidelity
