OPEA members are urged to mark their calendars for two Town Hall meetings in early January.
The first will be in Region 9 in Northeast Oklahoma. It will be held Tuesday, January 12th at JL’s Barbeque in Pryor, on Highway 69 between Pryor and Choteau, beginning at 5:30 pm. (Please note the new date; this meeting was originally scheduled for Thursday, January 7th, but was changed to Tuesday, January 12th due to inclement weather.)
The second Town Hall meeting will also include a Chili Supper and will be held in Region 6. It will be held Thursday, January 14th at the OEC Building in Norman, 242 24th Avenue NW, beginning at 5:30.
All state employees, both active and retired, are encouraged to attend to learn how budget cuts, RIFs, furloughs and VOBOs will affect you, and what OPEA is doing to protect your job.
These are important meetings you can’t afford to miss! For additional information, phone OPEA offices at 405.524.6764
