Oklahoma Public Employees Association Membership Representative Alicia Wright will serve as the association’s liaison to the Department of Corrections Council.
“Alicia is a natural for this position,” said Sterling Zearley, OPEA Executive Director. “Her experience in DOC plus her coalition building abilities will be an asset during this critical time for our employees in Corrections.
Wright came to OPEA after serving as Probation and Parole Officer. She holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Oklahoma City University and an A.A.S. in Criminal Science from Oklahoma State University.
“Both my parents were longtime Correctional employees, so, with my service in the agency, I feel I have the skills necessary to help the DOC Council accomplish great things for our members,” Wright said.
“We are very glad to have the opportunity to work with Alicia,” said DOC Council Chair Mike Rogers. “In her brief time with OPEA, she has already made a great impact.”
